Visiting Oregon..

Oregon was such a beautiful place.. I hope that we are able to go back one of these years and take in some more of the wonderful sights. The first day was spent trying to do some hiking but the weather set us back a bit. So we decided to see a cute town called Silverton. We walked around a little while and then set off to the wineries.

 First stop was pudding river wine cellars. This was my favorite of the two places we stopped at.. We tasted 8 of their best wines and I took one home with me.

  The next stop was Piluso winery which was a really cute place. We tasted 6 of their best wines and gave a lot of attention to their furry greeter.
On Monday we drove to the coast and through the beautiful town of Lincoln city. Stopping at the devils punch bowl and feeding the squirrels.

Then we drove to Newport where we had lunch at Moes on the water. 

 

The sea lions were out in full force entertaining everyone. Joaquin tempted the crew into doing a tour at the rogue brewery and then we proceeded to taste as much beer as we could.

Tuesday we went back out to do the waterfall hike and saw 10 of the most beautiful waterfalls. Most of them you could walk behind and feel the spray.

The hike was 9.5 miles and we were very tired afterwards.


The four of us, Rinah,Skyler,Karen and myself stopped for food at the wooden nickel in Sublimity.

Wednesday we did a driving tour with some lunch...
The rest of the day was spent catching up with grandma.









 Thursday a few of us walked around downtown Salem.

We stopped at city hall, drank some coffee in a really cute place and did some shopping. Afterwards we ate at an Indian buffet.

Friday our last day we went to a cook out at mike and suzys house.

We did a lot of eating and a lot of drinking.

Saturday Jesse and I flew to Utah for his cousins wedding before heading home on Sunday. I was able to meet Capones future girlfriend Molly at his aunt and uncles house. More vacations to come....
