Always busy on the weekends

I'm not sure how we do it but, somehow the weekends end up crazy. Friday night was relaxing. We picked up dinner at Popeye's and headed for the beach. We sat next to an older couple and chatted about New York and how much they love the weather. Next we walked down the beach and found a nice spot at the bar and had a drink before laying on the sand for a bit. Afterwards we went shopping so Jesse could get a new racquet, he has taken up playing quite a bit of racquet ball and needed something better than what he had.
Saturday morning we started by running Capone on the bike. When we were done we rode 6 miles to the gym and played racquet ball. My first time and he was killing me.. Then we rode back home and got ready for the Indian buffet for lunch. This is our favorite place to eat and the food is just excellent. We went home and watched a movie, Babel which was very strange. I don't think I can explain it quite the way Jesse would so I will leave it at that. We got dressed and went out for a few green beers at a new pub that we found. Very nice place and they were serving corn beef and cabbage to celebrate St. Patty's Day. After we came home we watched another movie, The Holiday.. Of course Jesse fell asleep because it's a romantic comedy and he refuses to watch. Finally today we grabbed some breakfast and returned a pair of shorts, returned the movies and he is now in the kitchen making chicken and dumplings.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention that last weekend we went to a new restaurant called "The Knife" It's a beef house and for $25.00 you can eat all you want and they give each person a bottle of wine, desert and coffee is included. We were very tipsy coming out of there. Joaquin and Karen... You will love it!!
That's it for now.. Signing off.

Coming home from Texas

Well I have to say that I finally found some place where the traffic is 10 times worse than Florida. The down town area which they call the Galleria is absolutely great!! Outside of downtown is not so pretty. The tower where my classes were was attached to the mall and well... Let's just say besides being the biggest mall I have ever seen with over 200 stores, restaurants ect., I had lot's of blisters on my feet from walking 5 days straight.

I'm glad to be home and my boys have bonded. Jesse has been running Capone and he is loving it. Jesse is food shopping right now while I screw around on the computer as always. We will probably go to a park for a while today and have dinner. I'm not too thrilled with going out to eat after doing it for a week straight but that's ok.

The next entry will have our travel schedule for the year. Waiting on some dates from Karen and we will book a place for all of us again to enjoy the instant grill and strange noises in the night.

Going away and keeping Jesse busy

Well even though Jesse will protest to having a blog I believe it could have it's benefits. Even if no one reads it he can entertain himself as well as Joaquin. I am leaving town on Sunday and was in need of giving Jesse something to do. I will be in Houston training for work. Of course a training class is not terribly exciting but I will get to see Texas and one of it's many cities.

I have taken on several projects including making pillows. Can't believe I remember how to use a sewing machine. I can't make anything else at the moment but hoping to take classes. I taught myself how to knit. I'm currently making a scarf. I can't say it looks too pretty. It's been slow going and painful on the hands. I finally got to meet Pam's side of the family. They are so much fun and I love them all. I will put a picture up of everyone in downtown Ft. Lauderdale.

I will finish packing tonight and then enjoy the Ren Fest all day tomorrow before I leave. Oh yeah.. The latest adventure for Capone was yesterday when the roofers came into the yard and let him out. Lucky for me he was spotted by several neighbors. Sharon ran the neighborhood looking for him after she was tipped off by another neighbor that he was a few blocks away at another neighbors house visiting their dachshunds. He has quite a reputation and was welcomed into everyone's house. Well time to wrap it up and show Jesse where he can tell his many adventures while I am gone.
