Matter of Opinion.....

I think for this week I will tell you a little story about our Friday night and why some people in this world should not have children.
The night started by Jesse dropping me off at the Sawgrass Mills mall, the biggest outlet mall we have in South Florida. I wanted to visit one store while Jesse went off to the gym to soak in the hot tub. Jesse picked me up several hours later. We decided to grab a bite to eat and sit outside to enjoy the people bustling about with their packages and feel the night breeze. Next to us was a wonderful water fountain but with one catch... There were at least 10 kids climbing on it and running about. Jesse and I were looking around for the parents but none were to be found. One kid in particular was the worst of them all. Come to find out his parents were sitting behind us. He would take his stroller and push it out into the walkway and his parents would not even look in his direction and just leave the stroller where it was. That was not the worst of it.. I was facing the table so I had a full view. The kid could not have been more than 4 years old. He dropped his pants. At this point I told Jesse to turn around to see this.. At this point he proceeded to pee on the ground right next to his mother's foot. I was sitting there mouth agape in disbelief. We were looking at the parents as they pretended nothing had happened. Who lets their kids pee in public??? Not just in public but in a restaurant?? I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. What kind of people are raising kids??
Well we told the waitress and I was not sure she would even believe me. She told the owner and came back to tell us that they were going to be asked to leave. At this point we were on our way out because we were disgusted. I can tell you that I won't be going back anytime soon..

Easter Sunday was fun. We did something most people don't do on Easter Sunday but then again we are a little strange. We went to the Zoo. It wasn't a large zoo but it was nice and they had some things that most zoo's don't have. We saw a Coocaburra which is from Australia.
Then Jesse tries to feed the birds. Now have you ever seen a naked mole rat in person. I thought they were kind of cool and Jesse not so much.
Not sure if anyone can see them very well but I did the best I could through the glass. The anteater was larger than I expected and very furry.....
This weekend we did a walk for the animals at the park right down the street and we also attended Jesse's company picnic.
Tomorrow night is my Dad's retirement party with his co workers. He will be moving to northern Florida and visiting with old friends and family in the summers.

Living the Life...

It's pretty sad when they don't allow dogs on the beach. So we break the rules.. Capone had a blast Thursday and Friday night. His favorite thing was digging in the sand while Jesse's favorite thing is laying on the blanket. As you can see he ate most of the sand. It's that time of year again.. The turtles are coming ashore and laying eggs. Last year I signed us up for the release of the baby turtles back into the water. This was really cool but I was also traumatized by the whole event. It was dark out and very hard to see the little guys moving away from us. Then I look in front of me and the volunteers who are suppose to be helping the turtles actually stepped on 2 of them. I start screaming of course that she is stepping on it. I realize that it's an accident but it does not help the trauma. So I am thinking that this year we will sign up for the turtle watch. This is where we set out at night and watch the adult turtle lay her eggs then rope off the section so that people know not to step on the nest. I will try to schedule it for Joaquin and Karen's visit.

Flu Season is upon us..

Well Jesse has had the Flu now since Friday and not getting any better. Not much went on Saturday exept house cleaning and watching movies.
I did go to the Home Show with Wendi and of course wanted to get everything for the house. We ended up listening to a designer speak and also took a quick test on finding out our style. Wendi ended up being Traditional Classic and I ended up being Old World. Wendi and I liked it so much that we decided that we are going to the seminar on how to design professionally for our home. We are very excited about it..
I talked to Pam last night (Jesse's Mom). Sherry has decided that she is leaving Nashville for Mesquite, Nevada. Can't wait to visit when she moves in and also Pam says that Joaquin has not called her back in weeks... So Joaquin if you are reading. Call your Mom! That's it for the update. Happy Easter!!
